Welcome to Village Republican Women's web site and thank you for your interest in Republican organizations. Our home page gives you a brief overview of our club. Please click on the buttons to the left to learn more about VRW.
We are an organization with a rich heritage and exciting future. The club was federated in 1961. Over the decades our members have ranged from being "Goldwater Girls" (Our founder and first president, Gerry Hardway is the girl on the far right) to "Bush Backers".
We are members of the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) and the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW). These groups support Republican ideals and principles and work to elect Republicans to office.
VRW is an active club that stays informed on elections, issues, legislation, and the political process. We also raise funds for Republican candidates, and encourage our members to volunteer time in candidates' campaigns. We also engage in community service projects.
Regular meeting are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 9:30 AM, at a member's home or a restaurant. The meetings feature an interesting speaker, followed by a business meeting and luncheon. Occasionally, our group will have an evening meeting or social event. Our members come from various neighborhoods in Harris County; however, the majority live in the Memorial Villages, West Memorial and Spring Branch communities.
