How do I join and how much does it cost?

Download a membership application form (Click Here). Fill out the requested information and mail to the address listed on the form or bring it in person to our next meeting. Annual dues are $25 ($15 for Associate Members). We would love to have your ideas and energy in our club!

When are your meetings?

We usually meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month. However there are no meetings in June, July, August or December. Because of Thanksgiving, our November meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday of that month.

Do you serve food at the meetings?

Coffee is served during registration. A hot lunch is provided for an additional cost of $20. If you would like to stay for lunch, Click Here to RSVP.

What is the cost to attend monthly meetings?

Your annual dues cover all meeting costs. If you want to stay for lunch, there will be a charge of $20. Click Here to RSVP for lunch.

Do I have to be a Republican to join the club?

No, just subscribe to Republican ideals

How many members are in your Club?

We are always accepting new members. We started 2009 with approximately 140 total members.

If I already belong to another Republican Women's Club, may I also join Village Republican Women?

Yes, as a non-voting Associate Member, for annual dues of $15.

Do I have to live in Houston to be a member?

No, you are welcome to join even if you can't attend often. You can keep up to date with our activities on this website.

Do I have to be a US citizen to belong?

Yes.

Do I have to be a registered voter to belong?

Yes. You can download a voter registration form on the website of your county of residence. Here are some local links: Harris County, Fort Bend County, Montgomery County.

Can only women join the club?

No, men may join our group as Associate Men members for annual dues of $30.

Whom do you invite to speak at the meetings?

Usually elected officials speak at our general meetings. Sometimes others who are involved in the civic or political arenas may be speakers, as well.

What other meetings/events/functions may I participate in as a member?

Our annual Christmas Party, meetings of the Greater Houston Council of Federated Republican Women, a biennial club fundraiser, the biennial Texas Federation of Republican Women's Legislative Day in Austin, Candidate Forums, the biennial Texas Federation of Republican Women's Tribute to Women Luncheon and more. We also have community outreach projects needing energetic volunteers. We even occasionally sponsor field trips to places of interest to our members.

Are husbands welcome at the meetings?

We are happy to have husbands attend as guests and they are always welcome at the Christmas Party.

Do you work on political campaigns?

We encourage all of our members to work on campaigns and help get Republican candidates elected to office.
